How is service capacity planned and controlled?

Service capacity planning turns expected corrective, preventive, warranty, contract, and internal demand into a workable plan for people, skills, workshop bays, parts, tools, and subcontractors.

Protect planned work while retaining emergency response

    Forecast and classify demand

    Separate due preventive work, open backlog, contractual commitments, expected claims, internal work, and emergency demand by date, location, skill, asset, and service model.

    Match demand to constrained capacity

    Check technician skills, shifts, territories, workshop bays, tools, parts, travel time, and subcontractor availability before promising a date.

  3. 03

    Level and release work

    Reserve capacity for statutory, safety, and SLA-critical work; move discretionary work within approved windows; release only work that has an executable resource and material plan.

    Learn from the actual load

    Compare planned and actual hours, travel, waiting time, first-time fix, repeat visits, overdue maintenance, backlog, overtime, and subcontractor use.
